The Gujarat Technological University (GTU), scheduled to begin its exams from 2nd July 2020, and July 13. However, seeing the increase in the number of cases in the state they have postponed the exam. GTU had given the students 3 options. Those were classroom exams, online exams, or special exams after the Covid-19 situation improved. Gujarat University had earlier conducted a poll for the opinion of holding examinations.54,000 students voted to have the examinations and only 900 students opposed.
These exams are likely to be conducted by the end of July or September
The assessment, pending results, markings, and evaluation of all colleges will be done by August 15, said the HRD minister. As per the latest updates, universities are to open after August 15, following the guidelines given by the ministry.
Many universities have started an online admission procedure. Some colleges have also started online teaching through various virtual teaching platforms.
The ministry of education will not rush for reopening the institutes. As a student’s safety is a priority. However, consultations with various states have already begun. With proper guidelines, the health and hygiene of students will be taken care of. The future is very uncertain, but there is hope for a better tomorrow.
